The marketing approval in Argentina is regulated by the local authority ENACOM. It is based on FCC certification and specific national requirements. To obtain approval in Argentina, the involvement of a local representative is just as necessary as local testing on site.
After the successful certification, the product approval is valid for a total of three years
and the products must bear the ENACOM label in order to be marketed in Argentina.

On August 18, 2023, the telecom regulator in Argentina, ENACOM, published Resolution #1132/2023 in the Official Gazette, which introduces technical standard Q2-63.02 V23.1 for testing broadband equipment with digital modulation (e.g. Wi-Fi, BLE, ZigBee, etc.), and technical standard Q2-63.03 V23.1 for testing equipment with frequency hopping (e.g. BT, proprietary FHSS, etc.). These standards were put into in force with immediate effect.
Important novelties derived from this Resolution are:
These changes do not apply to devices with Wi-Fi6e that have already been registered under the previously applicable rules, nor to those whose approval process is still underway. The new rules are important when renewing certificates for products that include the Wi-Fi6e function and must undergo and pass appropriate laboratory tests.
The new rules will coexist with the previous ones for 90 calendar days, so you as a customer can currently decide whether to use the old or the new standard. As of November 18, 2023, laboratories may only measure DUTs according to the new technical standards.
Consequently, as of November 18 2023, certificates of interfaces that were originally tested according to the previous standard (Wi-Fi, BT, BLE, LoRa, ZigBee, etc.) and that require re-evaluation according to the new standards must be renewed.
In the following cases, only documentary testing will be performed until further notice:
