SDPPI resolutions define test requirements for technical devices

Requirements for emissions, immunity, electrical safety and interoperability.
Indonesia

For manufacturers who want to distribute products with wireless technologies in the Indonesian market, the SDPPI certification is essential. At the end of October, the authority published two new regulations dealing with the regulation of devices with wavelength division multiplexing and telecommunications devices with Internet protocol functions.

The regulation Kominfo No 9 Tahun 2019 defines the regulations for telecommunication devices with wavelength division multiplexing. The requirements for electromagnetic compatibility are based on

  • CISPR 32 or SNI ISO/ IEC CISPR 32 for emission requirements.
  • CISPR 35 or SNI ISO/ IEC CISPR 35 for immunity requirements.

For the electrical safety requirements, either IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1 is used. Interoperability must be ensured in accordance with the ITU-T standards or the IEEE 802.3 series or all relevant standards for relevant technologies.

The regulation Kominfo No 10 Tahun 2019, on the other hand, relates to telecommunications equipment accessing the Internet protocol. The EMC requirement has also been defined here:

  • Emission requirement according to CISPR 32 or SNI ISO/ IEC CISPR 32
  • Interference immunity requirement according to CISPR 35 or SNI ISO/ IEC CISPR 35

Electrical safety requirements are based on either IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1, interoperability must be demonstrated according to IEEE 802.3 series or any relevant standards to relevant technology stated inside this regulations.
