EMC and LVD Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) will no longer be mandatory from January 1, 2022.

Market approval for devices using radio technologies in Serbia are regulated by the Serbian authorities. While the requirements mainly base on the Radio Equipment Directive, there are still some national requirements defined in the Serbian Official Gazette.

Recently, Regulation No. 21/2020 was published, which is an amendment to the rulebook on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and rulebook on the Electrical Equipment intended for use within Certain Voltage Limits (LVD).

The main change in the amendment is that Serbian EMC and LVD Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) will no longer be mandatory from 1st January 2022. Instead, CE marking will be acceptable for non-radio devices to demonstrate compliance. Until this date, manufacturers should continue to seek EMC and LVD CoC’s for applicable equipment.
