Products for the 450 MHz network are part of Germany’s critical infrastructure. They control local network stations, transmit smart meter data, and ensure crisis communication for energy providers. What tests do we offer?
RF Performance Measurements
We perform the required radio performance measurements for LTE Band 31 and Band 72, tailored to the 450connect whitelisting criteria and the relevant 3GPP specifications.

RED Compliance and Cybersecurity
Since August 2025, the Radio Equipment Directive (RED 2014/53/EU) has required, via Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2380, proof of compliance with basic cybersecurity requirements for all networked radio equipment. For 450 MHz devices, this means: In addition to traditional radio technical compliance with EN 301 908, manufacturers must now also demonstrate compliance with the EN 18031 series of standards (network security, data protection, fraud protection). We evaluate both aspects in an integrated testing process.

CRA Readiness (Cyber Resilience Act)
The EU Cyber Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/2847) will become mandatory for all products with digital elements starting in September 2027. Products used in critical infrastructure are subject to stricter requirements: They are classified as “important” or “critical” products and are subject to third-party conformity assessment. This directly affects all 450 MHz devices used in power grids, water supply systems, or emergency communications.

We are already supporting manufacturers today with a CRA Readiness assessment to ensure a seamless transition to full CRA compliance.

Interoperability Testing and Whitelisting
We verify that your device is fully compatible with the 450connect infrastructure. This test is a prerequisite for inclusion on the official 450connect whitelist. We guide you through the entire process: test planning, execution, and documentation.

Devices for the 450 MHz network are not ordinary consumer products. They are an integral part of national security of supply.
