China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued a notice announcing the repeal of the following regulations:

  • “Notice on the Release of Frequency Use for Point-to-Point Wireless Access Systems in Fixed Services in the 40-50 GHz Band” (MIIT No. 500 [2013])
  • “Notice on the Release of Frequency Use for Broadband Wireless Access Systems in Mobile Services in the 40-50 GHz Band” (MIIT No. 502 [2013])

The repeal will take effect on January 1, 2026. After this date, all radio management agencies will cease accepting or approving the use of the 40-50 GHz frequency band for point-to-point wireless access systems in fixed services and broadband wireless access systems in mobile services.
