Internationally Recognized Nerve Stimulation Tests by the Market Leader in Germany

Precise Measurements and Fast Certification – We Help You Demonstrate Compliance with the Latest ISED Requirements Effortlessly!

Since the end of 2023, ISED (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) has significantly tightened the nerve stimulation (NS) requirements for radio device manufacturers under 10 MHz operating frequency. With the new standard RSS-102 Issue 6 combined with RSS-102.NS, manufacturers must now apply even more precise measurement methods to obtain approval for the Canadian market. The transition period for the old standard ended on December 15, 2024, making the new, stricter requirements mandatory.

These changes affect not only future approvals but also already approved products, which must be regularly checked for compliance with the current standards. With our in-house FCB, we directly offer to verify and, if necessary, adjust the validity of your existing approvals.

In certain cases, it is necessary to evaluate existing test results and issue new test reports, especially if the test results are older than 12 months or if continuous proof of compliance with the current regulations needs to be provided. Thanks to ISED’s 24-DSR0005 and the recognition of the Speag WPT >2.6 System, we can offer you an exceptionally fast turnaround time in our labs and during certification.

Since September 2023, stricter requirements have been in effect that make the verification of compliance with minimum distances and other safety-related requirements even more precise and comprehensive. To meet these new requirements exactly, robot-based measurements are required. In addition to the usual Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) measurements, manufacturers must now also demonstrate robot-based nerve stimulation measurements of their products.

As the market leader in Germany for nerve stimulation tests, we offer internationally recognized nerve stimulation testing services in the range of 3 kHz to 10 MHz. We can also conduct the more complex considerations of base quantities that are essential for measuring small distances to the tested device. Our tests and reports meet the regulatory framework of the following international standards.

Canada:

  • RSS-102 Issue 6 (December 2023)
  • SPR-002 Issue 2 (October 2022)
  • Safety Code 6: 2015
  • RSS-GEN Issue 5 (Amdt 2, February 2021)
  • RSS-102.NS.Meas Issue 1 (December 2023)
  • RSS-102.SAR.Meas Issue 1 (Amdt 1, May 2024)
  • IEC / IEEE 62209/1528
  • ISED – Notice 2024-DRS0005
  • ISED – Notice 2024-DRS0004

  • RSS-102.NS.SIM (December 2023) [Section 5.3.5.3: EUT Model Uncertainty Validation]

In addition to the measurement considerations, we also offer the service of document review of existing test reports against the latest standards.

Our advanced testing methods ensure precise verification of the new regulatory requirements and an improved signal-to-limit margin. With our state-of-the-art Speag DASY Module WPT and recognition as an ISED Wireless Lab as well as ISED FCB, we ensure fast and straightforward certification for the Canadian market. This allows you to bring your product to market without delays.

Our experts will be happy to assist you personally with your specific nerve stimulation requirements and help you implement the new standards.
