The requirements for a market approval in India are defined by the official body BIS and are based on the specifications of a CE marking (RED) and national specifications (MCITT).
After successful certification, the product approval is valid for permanent use. The use of an official MCITT label is not necessary within the scope of the current specifications, but the CE marking is used.
