For a market approval in Egypt an NTRA approval is required, which consists of national specifications as well as parts of the specifications from the Radio Equipment Directive (RED).
After successful approval by the NTRA (National Telecom Regulatory Authority), the products with radio technologies are permanently approved for the market in Egypt, whereby equipment does not have to undergo local testing, nor does a local representative have to be involved with the authority.
