New EMVCo Accreditation for C8 Kernel Testing
As a leading provider for test solutions in the payment industry, we are proud to announce that we have successfully received a new accreditation from EMVCo for the testing scope related to C8 Kernel Testing.
This accreditation allows us to conduct testing and certification for the latest security and interoperability requirements for EMV-based SmartCard devices.
EMVCo, the global authority on electronic payment standards, has recognized the C8 kernel as a key component of EMV payment technology. C8 strives to provide a unified and standardized solution to support terminal providers, acquirers, issuers and payment processors. Therefore, C8 Kernel plays a crucial role in ensuring the secure exchange of payment information and maintaining transaction integrity in both contactless and chip-based payment systems.
With this new accreditation, we are now authorized to conduct comprehensive testing to ensure that C8 Kernel components meet EMVCo’s standards and specifications.
“This accreditation underlines our commitment to the highest security standards in the payment industry,” says Thomas Velhagen, Head of our department SmartCard Technologies. “With this extended scope of testing, we can ensure that our solutions comply with the latest EMVCo guidelines, providing our global clients with the highest level of security and reliability.”
Our new accreditation allows us to test a wide range of cards and devices based on the C8 Kernel before they are released to the market.
This is a vital step in ensuring global interoperability and security for payments, especially as contactless payments and mobile wallets are becoming increasingly important.
