WPC authorized CETECOM for certification tests for Medium Power

With an expansion of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) authorization for certification tests of wireless charging devices, CETECOM sharpens its portfolio in this area.
After an audit of the WPC, CETECOM is now also authorized to carry out certification tests for medium power devices. Based on the current WPC specification v1.2.3 CETECOM now covers the following additional test profiles:
- Certification tests for the EPP Extended Power Profile (known as Medium Power) for transmitter devices with power of up to 15 watts
- Certification tests for the combination of the Baseline Power Profile (generally called Low Power) and FOD (Foreign Object Detection)
This additional authorization expands the CETECOM test portfolio around wireless charging, which up until now has exclusively included certification tests according to the WPP BPP Baseline Power Profile (generally known as low power) for transmitter and also receiver devices with up to 5 watts of power.
CETECOM remains the only WPC accredited test lab in Europe and now offers its customers a broader portfolio of services for a technology that is increasingly used.
